- Madeleine Sauvé
I use photographic imagery, textiles and printed media to record contemporary narratives. My process of collecting images and exploring story through writing, drawing and collage, result in a variety of layered and abstracted work.
I am a prairie daughter from the suburbs, with formal training in fine art:
University of Alberta, Edmonton (BFA 1998)
Concordia University, Montreal (MFA 2002)
I am inspired by nature, design, theatrical performance and poetry. My aesthetic is informed by intuition and formal visual elements.
My work has been collected and exhibited in Canada, the United States, Japan and Europe. I have participated in several artist residencies and artist collaborations in North America.
